While at The Assembly Show, our Sales Manager, Ryan McAllister, was happy to find plenty of new products and technologies on display or being presented for the first time. Like the year prior, this show provided unique insights and perspectives about the world of automation.
The show was well attended and had a very consistent flow of people the whole time which was great.

The booths were very engaging. In the past, many exhibitors utilizing multiple robotic demo cells would have only one brand of robot. Now, we are seeing booths with multiple brands of robots all in the same booth highlighting how their products work. Robotic suppliers such as Fanuc, ABB, Kawasaki, Epson, and more had their tabletop-sized robots that were featured to interact with automation equipment to handle and manipulate parts.
SDC customers and suppliers were at the show as well as new exhibitors from other countries, opening up the automated equipment market with new sourcing opportunities.
Ryan noted that he saw a boost in servo-driven solutions like riveting, end form tooling, ultrasonic welding, and pick-n-place motions that were all traditionally done with pneumatics or hydraulics. This is an industry trend that has quickly taken traction in our facility because of the flexibility it provides on machines and ease of programmability. We dove into our engineering library and shared our thoughts about servo equipment in a recent blog. Read more about it and our preferred supplier partnership with Rockwell Automation at Superior Servo….
We are looking forward to attending The Assembly Show in 2025. If you’re attending the 2025 Automate Show in Detroit, Michigan from October 12-15th, you can find us in booth #200.
