The Importance of an Experienced Build Team

At SDC, we know that creating reliable automated machines requires more than just good design—it takes careful planning, technical expertise, and strong teamwork at every stage. That’s why we’ve built an experienced in-house team of industrial electricians, mechanical machine builders, and manufacturing specialists.

Our In-house Build Philosophy

By keeping these critical functions in-house, we maintain full control over quality and ensure every detail is handled with care. From electrical wiring to mechanical assembly and custom manufacturing, our team works together to deliver equipment that is dependable, long-lasting, and tailored to meet the needs of your manufacturing operations.

Electrical Build and Wiring

We understand that dependable electrical systems are essential for automated machines to perform well. Our in-house team of industrial electricians focuses on building custom electrical panels, wiring machines with precision, and ensuring all connections meet high standards for quality and safety. Whether it’s integrating sensors, actuators, or complex control systems, our electricians ensure that your equipment is wired and ready to run smoothly in your manufacturing environment.

Mechanical Build

Constructing reliable automated machines starts with skilled mechanical work. At SDC, our in-house team of mechanical machine builders assembles and aligns every component on our machines to match the unique requirements of each design. From intricate mechanisms to heavy-duty frames, our builders focus on build methods that are reliable and efficient. With a hands-on approach, we’re able to troubleshoot and refine each system as we build to ensure it’s ready to perform in real-world conditions.

Manufacturing

While we work with a network of external machining suppliers, we also continue to invest in our internal team and manufacturing operations. Our in-house team of expert CNC machinists, welders, waterjet operators, and inspection staff ensure that every critical part on our machines are made with precision.

Through outsourcing some manufacturing, we are able to reserve our internal team for quick turnaround, critical and complex tight-tolerance parts, maintaining high-quality standards throughout the process. This approach allows us to adapt quickly during the build phase and make new parts or modify existing parts as needed to make sure our machines are assembled correctly, each time.

Every part, whether we outsource, or manufacturing in-house is thoroughly inspected and designed to hold up over time, ensuring your machines remain dependable and productive for years to come.

Our Process

Solving our customer’s toughest automation needs — we make machines that help optimize manufacturing processes. This includes, but is not limited to, increasing efficiency, quality, safety, and production.

01

DESIGN & ENGINEER

Our mechanical and electrical controls engineering teams work with our clients to make sure each project is designed to meet every specification and requirement

02

BUILD

Our machine builders and electricians assemble each system in-house, working with our engineering teams to provide a robust machine.

03

TEST & RUN-OFF

Each SDC system undergoes rigorous machine testing, otherwise known as run-off, to pass client acceptance criteria before they leave our facility.

04

SUPPORT

We value long-term partnerships and stand behind our custom automated systems. For as long as the machine is in production, we’ll provide support.
